this was banging. i really liked your sentiments. maybe AI will never be able to be perfectly flawed, and 'the crack is where the light gets in'. also i think the main point of AI as i see it, is in the 'process'. yes an infinitesimally clever computer might be able to paint like Rembrandt or write like Shakespeare, altho i doubt it, cos it will lack the human soul, but also the *process* is what makes us human. that is our muscle, we have to create, and short-circuiting the outcome does nothing, it just gives you an end point. but life, and we as humans, have to be at the coal-face, to work out what it is to be alive, and we won't do that if we just click on some algorithm.
