this was banging. i really liked your sentiments. maybe AI will never be able to be perfectly flawed, and 'the crack is where the light gets in'. also i think the main point of AI as i see it, is in the 'process'. yes an infinitesimally clever computer might be able to paint like Rembrandt or write like Shakespeare, altho i doubt it, cos it will lack the human soul, but also the *process* is what makes us human. that is our muscle, we have to create, and short-circuiting the outcome does nothing, it just gives you an end point. but life, and we as humans, have to be at the coal-face, to work out what it is to be alive, and we won't do that if we just click on some algorithm. Picasso said 'computers are pointless... they can only give you answers.' nuff said... i loved your article, it made me happy, keep progressing your thought!
